Stage 2 NA Stroker Cam for High-Compression LT1 Builds

The GPI LT-STR2 Stroker STG2 camshaft is engineered for high-compression 416 - 427ci NA LT1 builds that demand aggressive top-end power and track-proven performance. As one of the most capable NA stroker cams available, STG2 is designed for serious enthusiasts running 13:1 - 14:1 compression and built to live in the higher RPM ranges where big-inch LT engines thrive.

Compared to the STG1, Stage 2 pushes peak power higher in the curve - typically several hundred RPM later - and is capable of pulling cleanly to 7600 - 7800 RPM with a proper valvetrain setup. This camshaft is only recommended for engines running a High Ram - style intake and is not intended for pump gas. For best performance, a 5FPX (5000 - 5500 RPM) torque converter is recommended.

Built Specifically for 416" - 454" LT Stroker Combinations

Like all GPI stroker cams, the STG2 is part of a series designed exclusively for big-inch LT1/LT4 platforms. All setups should run a High RPM Spring Kit, as these cams are optimized for high-lift, high-RPM applications with elevated cylinder pressures.

Stage 2 and Stage 3 require E85 or C85 due to their compression and fueling demands. Custom grind options are available for specialized or one-off builds.

Can I run the STG2 stroker cam on pump gas?

No. STG2 is engineered for high-compression E85/C85 builds. Pump gas does not offer sufficient octane or detonation resistance for this cam's intended compression range.

Is a High Ram intake really required?

Yes. The airflow and RPM capabilities of the STG2 depend on a High Ram - style manifold. Lower-flow intake designs will restrict performance and reduce RPM potential.
