The GPI LT-STR1 Stroker STG1 is the premier naturally aspirated stroker camshaft for LT1-powered 6th Gen Camaros and C7 Corvettes. Designed to deliver exceptional "under the curve" torque, crisp throttle response, and strong high-RPM power, this cam has become a benchmark for serious 416 - 427ci street/strip builds across the country.
Built for pump-gas-friendly compression levels around 12.5:1, the STG1 offers excellent drivability while supporting 7400 - 7500 RPM with a High Ram - style intake manifold. When paired with an MSD manifold, peak RPM shifts slightly lower - typically around 400 - 500 RPM less.
Optimized for 416 - 454ci LT1 Stroker Combinations
The LT-STR1 is part of GPI's dedicated NA stroker cam series engineered specifically for 416" - 454" LT1/LT4-based rotating assemblies. All combinations utilizing these cams should run a High RPM Spring Kit, especially with aftermarket or high-flow manifolds.
While Stages 2 and 3 require higher compression and race fuel (E85/C85), Stage 1 is the ideal choice for street-driven stroker builds needing strong power across the entire RPM band without sacrificing durability or manners.
