Stage 2 Low Lift Camshaft for 6.2L Direct Injected GM Trucks

The GPI L86LL2 is the ideal low lift camshaft for truck owners who want a stronger, more aggressive power curve while still maintaining excellent drivability. Designed specifically for the L86 6.2L Direct Injected truck platform, this cam delivers harder midrange acceleration, increased top-end power, and a noticeable performance gain over the STG1 - without compromising everyday usability.

Because centrifugal superchargers follow a very similar linear power curve to NA builds, the L86LL2 also works beautifully with centrifugal blower setups. This makes it an excellent choice for owners who may add boost later.

Required Components & Install Notes

As a low lift LT camshaft, the L86LL2 requires:

  • Stock LT1 valve springs
  • GPI 0° Phaser Limiter
  • No head milling without verifying PTV clearance
