GSC R3 Camshafts – Gen 4 Coyote 5.0L (GSC7079R3) - 2024–2026 Mustang GT & Dark Horse
The GSC R3 Camshafts are a max-effort, high-RPM solution for Gen 4 Coyote builds living on the edge of performance. Designed exclusively for ported-head, methanol-fueled race applications, the R3 profile is engineered to carry power deep into the upper RPM range where serious competition engines make their gains.
Each R3 camshaft set is CNC-machined from U.S.-sourced forged billet and treated with GSC’s BLACK ISE surface finish to reduce friction and extend durability under extreme operating conditions. Lobe events are modeled specifically around ported Gen 4 Coyote cylinder head flow and rocker geometry. The OEM direct-injection high-pressure fuel pump lobe geometry is retained to ensure proper HPFP operation, while upgraded valve springs and titanium retainers are required to safely support the elevated RPM potential.
