GSC R2 Camshafts – Gen 4 Coyote 5.0L (GSC7079R2) - 2024–2026 Mustang GT & Dark Horse
The GSC R2 Camshafts are built for Gen 4 Coyote owners pushing beyond bolt-ons into true track-focused performance. Designed specifically for ported, high-flow cylinder heads, the R2 profile delivers a hard-hitting top-end charge while maintaining a wide, usable powerband for serious road course, drag, and competition use.
Developed using real Gen 4 Mustang ported-head flow data and correct rocker geometry, these cams are CNC-machined from U.S.-sourced forged billet and finished with GSC’s BLACK ISE surface treatment for reduced friction and extended durability at high RPM. The R2 profile retains OEM direct-injection fuel pump lobe geometry for proper HPFP operation and supports pump gas, race fuel, or ethanol blends. With upgraded valve springs and proper tuning, the R2 carries power cleanly to an ~8,100 RPM peak with an effective operating range up to 8,500 RPM.
