Built to Handle Demanding Cylinder Pressure
FuelTech designed the IGN1A smart coil for engines operating under high cylinder pressures where ignition performance matters most. Under short high load conditions, maximum dwell can reach up to 9ms to extract peak output. For standard driving conditions, 5ms dwell is recommended.
At 9ms of dwell time, each coil consumes 20 amps while sending 150mA of current to the spark plug. At 5ms, current draw drops to 8 amps per coil, so proper electrical planning is important when wiring your vehicle.
