The Classic 4/6 Drop That Made the C1500 Famous
The DJM Suspension 4" Front / 6" Rear Lowering Kit (Part Number DJM2055-4/6) is designed specifically for 1988-1991 Chevy C1500 Standard Cab trucks. This is the legendary 4/6 drop that helped define the sport truck movement.
Up front, DJM combines drop spindles with lowering coil springs to achieve a true 4" drop. This method has been used countless times and remains one of the most proven and reliable ways to get the front of your C1500 down while maintaining proper suspension geometry.
6" Rear Drop with Flip Kit Technology
Out back, the kit utilizes a flip kit that relocates the rear axle from beneath the leaf spring to the top of the spring. Nothing is actually flipped, but this is the most effective way to dramatically lower the rear of most trucks.
For proper suspension travel at this ride height, you will need to C-notch the frame. DJM includes frame support brackets to reinforce the frame, along with DJMs exclusive pinion adjustable axle brackets to properly dial in driveline angle.
Shocks Included
This kit includes shocks. The rear shocks are staggered and require slightly different angles.

Do I need to C-notch the frame?
