The DJM Suspension 6" Rear Lowering Kit (Part Number RK2507-6) delivers a serious rear drop for 2007 - 2018 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks looking for an aggressive stance without sacrificing proper suspension geometry.
Like its 4 and 5" counterparts, this kit repositions the axle from beneath the leaf spring to the top of the leaf spring. This design is necessary due to GM welding the forward spring hanger directly to the frame. The kit also inverts the rear shackle by replacing the factory shackle mounting bracket.
The key difference with the 6" kit is that you retain and reuse your factory GM shackle. Instead of installing a longer shackle, the stock unit is used in the inverted configuration to achieve a full 6" rear drop. The result is a low, clean stance while maintaining proper driveline alignment.
This setup is ideal for street trucks and custom builds that demand a dramatic rear drop while keeping the suspension working correctly.
