The DJM Suspension 3" Lowering Dream Beams - Part Number DB3002-3 - are engineered to deliver a true 3" front drop for 1983-1988 Ford Ranger trucks. Designed as a direct replacement for the factory I-beams, these Dream Beams allow you to bolt on a properly engineered drop while retaining factory coils and full suspension travel.
So what makes them Dream Beams? DJM experimented with multiple construction methods to create a strong, accurate lowering beam that installs easily and performs correctly. The result is the exclusive tubular Dream Beam design built from thick walled DOM tubing, nested and welded in a precision fixture. This construction allows for full alignment adjustment and consistent finished parts.
Traditional fabricated I-beam style parts can suffer from weld creep during manufacturing, which causes slight warping and inconsistent geometry. The Dream Beam design eliminates that issue, giving you a beam that maintains proper alignment capability and predictable handling.
Simply remove the original equipment beams, install the Dream Beams, have the alignment checked, and you are ready to cruise with a clean 3" drop using your factory coil springs.
Caution: Attempting to lower I-beam trucks by heating or cutting springs, or even using certain lowering springs, can create alignment problems that cannot be properly corrected. Dream Beams are designed to avoid those issues entirely.
