The DJM Suspension 2" Front Coil Spring - Part Number CS2400-2 - is engineered specifically for 2004-2014 Chevrolet Colorado models equipped with a strut style front suspension. This spring replaces the factory coil inside the front strut assembly to deliver a true 2" front drop while maintaining drivability and stance balance.
The Colorado uses a strut front end, meaning the vertical strut assembly contains both the coil spring and shock absorber in a single unit. The complete strut can be removed from the truck and serviced on a bench, making the spring swap more manageable than working inside the wheel well.
To install the 2" drop spring, remove the factory strut assembly, carefully disassemble it using proper spring compression tools, replace the factory coil with the DJM 2" spring, then reinstall the strut. Once complete, your Colorado will sit 2" lower in the front, improving stance and highlighting wheels and tires.
Important: These springs will not work on torsion bar suspension models.
Installation Note: The factory spring is under compression. Always follow proper safety procedures when disassembling a strut. If you are not experienced with spring compressors, consider having a qualified speed shop or garage perform the coil swap.
