Full 5/5 Drop for 1973-1987 C10 with 1.25" Rotors
The DJM2045H-5/5 Complete Lowering Kit delivers an aggressive and properly engineered 5" front and 5" rear drop for 1973-1987 Chevy C10 trucks equipped with 1.25" front brake rotors. This setup combines classic drop spindle geometry with engineered lowering springs up front and a proven flip kit out back for a true squarebody stance.
Up front, DJM uses the traditional 3" drop spindle paired with 2" engineered DJM lowering coil springs. Combined, these components provide approximately 5" of total front drop while retaining factory steering geometry and ride characteristics.
Rotor thickness is critical. This kit is designed for 1.25" rotors only. If your C10 has 1" rotors, the correct kit is DJM2045L-5/5.
In the rear, a rear axle flip kit relocates the axle from beneath the leaf spring to the top of the leaf spring, achieving a full 5" rear drop. No C-section is required on the C10 frame because adequate relief is built in, allowing proper suspension travel even after the flip.
Tech Tip: If your factory U-bolts are worn or corroded, consider DJM2045H-5/5LTD, which includes new U-bolts and leaf spring plates.
Shocks are included to properly control the suspension at the lowered ride height.
Important Rotor Fitment Note
This kit works only with 1.25" front brake rotors. Measure your rotors before purchasing. If equipped with 1" rotors, use DJM2045L-5/5 instead.
