Some think lowering a 4WD SUV makes no sense. We disagree. The DJM2017-2/3 Complete Lowering Kit delivers a balanced and functional 2" front and 3" rear drop for 2007-2015 Tahoe, Suburban, and Avalanche 4WD applications, improving stance while maintaining suspension travel and ride comfort.
Because this system is designed around a 4WD platform, the drop is achieved through properly engineered spring changes. Up front, a 2" drop coil spring replaces the factory coil on the front strut assembly. The rear utilizes a 3" DJM lowering coil spring to achieve the proper rake and stance.
The front strut assembly contains spring preload even after removal. If you do not have a spring compressor or are not comfortable disassembling the strut, professional installation is recommended.
In the rear, installation is straightforward. After replacing the factory coil with the new DJM spring, install the included rear kit brackets and hardware to maintain proper suspension geometry. The result is a lowered 4WD SUV that retains suspension travel and ride quality.
This kit works great with factory shocks.
