Extreme 8" Rear Drop for 2001-2010 GM Trucks
The DJM Suspension 8" Lowering Rear Axle Flip Kit - Part Number FK2699-8 - is engineered for 2001-2010 GM 1500, 2500, and 3500 HD trucks that demand maximum rear drop with proper geometry correction. This system relocates the rear axle from beneath the leaf spring pack to above it, delivering a true 8" rear lowering solution.
To maintain suspension travel at this aggressive ride height, the frame requires a cut out that is reinforced with 3/8" thick frame supports. These heavy duty reinforcements help maintain structural integrity while restoring travel clearance.
The kit includes axle relocating brackets with adjustable pinion angle, new U-bolts, and all required installation hardware. Pinion angle adjustment is critical for proper driveline alignment and minimizing vibration after lowering.
Note: Shocks are not included. Required shock numbers are 1700 and 1800, sold separately. Two different rear shock part numbers are required because factory rear shock mounts are staggered, with one shock mounted in front of the axle and one behind it.
