DJM Suspension 7" Rear Leaf Spring Axle Flip Kit (1999 - 2006 Chevy Silverado / GMC Sierra) - FK2599-7
Maximum 7" Rear Drop for 1999-2006 Silverado and Sierra
The DJM Suspension 7" Rear Leaf Spring Axle Flip Kit - Part Number FK2599-7 - is built for serious enthusiasts looking to achieve the maximum rear drop on 1999-2006 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks. By relocating the rear axle from below the leaf spring pack to above it, this kit delivers an aggressive 7" rear stance.
On 1999-2006 GM trucks, the rear frame section is straight. When performing an axle flip, the frame must be C-sectioned to regain suspension travel lost during the lowering process. This requires cutting and grinding, which is why this setup is intended for builders who are committed to doing the job correctly.
DJM flip kits stand out thanks to their thick frame reinforcements that properly support the modified frame area. The kit also includes adjustable axle brackets so you can set and lock in the correct pinion angle without additional parts. A passenger side shock extender is included, along with all necessary hardware to complete the installation.
Important: Factory rear shock mounts are staggered, with one shock positioned in front of the axle and one behind it.
Shocks are not included. DJM recommends:
Rear Driver Side Shock 1800 sold each
Rear Passenger Side Shock 1900 sold each

FAQs
Is C-sectioning required with this 7" drop?
Yes. The straight frame design on 1999-2006 Silverado and Sierra trucks requires C-sectioning to restore proper suspension travel after the axle is repositioned.
Why are different rear shocks required?
The factory shock mounts are staggered, with one shock mounted in front of the axle and one behind it. This requires different shock lengths for proper fitment.
