If your factory U-bolts and leaf spring plates are in solid shape, there is no need to purchase them again. This kit repositions the rear axle above the leaf springs, achieving the drop while allowing reuse of your existing hardware.
On 1973-1987 C10 trucks, there is typically plenty of clearance above the axle, so a C-notch is not required for this 5" drop. It is a straightforward, proven method for lowering your squarebody while maintaining practicality and budget control. Sometimes less really is more.
