The CVF Performance Intercooler is engineered to deliver cooler, more consistent intake temperatures for 2013-2019 Ford Explorer 3.5L models. Independent real-world testing has shown reductions of more than 35 degrees in IAT2, helping eliminate the heat soak issues commonly seen with the factory intercooler.
This unit features a significantly larger 24 x 8 x 3.5-inch core and uses CVF’s proprietary design - optimized specifically for the Explorer platform rather than relying on a generic off-the-shelf core. The result is improved efficiency, better top-end performance, and more stable temperatures during towing, spirited driving, and daily use.

Construction
Built from premium aluminum, the intercooler uses a TIG-welded bar-and-plate design for maximum durability. The cast end tanks, stamped with the CVF logo, ensure smooth airflow into and out of the core for improved turbo efficiency and reduced temperature spikes.
Application & Installation
This intercooler is a direct replacement for the factory unit, with minor trimming of the plastic shroud required for proper fitment.
