Type-WH Carbon Fiber Heat Extraction Hood (AC-HD05CHC6-WH) - 2005-2013 Chevrolet Corvette C6

Ideal for performance builds, this hood reduces weight while maintaining excellent fitment and a premium carbon fiber finish.

Lightweight Carbon Fiber Construction

Constructed using a vacuum infused process with 3K 2x2 twill carbon fiber, this hood delivers excellent strength while minimizing weight. A marine-grade gel coat with UV inhibitors is applied and polished to ensure long-lasting durability and a deep, high-gloss finish.

Additional Notes

  • Latch bracket must be transferred from OE hood
  • Latch mounting location may require minor modification
  • Mounting tabs may require adjustment during installation
  • Hood pins are required for safe operation
  • Heat shield is required
  • Reinstallation of factory gas struts is not recommended
  • OE gas struts place excessive pressure on composite hoods
  • Always close hood carefully; do not slam or drop
  • Professional installation is recommended

ANDERSON COMPOSITES DOES NOT SUGGEST REINSTALLING GAS SHOCKS/DAMPERS/STRUTS. OE gas struts place too much pressure on a composite hood!
