Satin Aluminum Discharge Tube & Bypass Upgrade for Fox Body Paxton Systems
The Paxton Superchargers Aluminum Upgrade Discharge Tube (PN 8PD101-002) is designed for 1986-1993 Ford Mustang 5.0L Fox Body vehicles equipped with an Entry Level 5 psi Paxton supercharger system. This upgrade converts the existing discharge assembly to the High Output (H.O.)-style configuration by adding a Standard Bypass Valve capable of supporting increased boost levels.
When increasing boost beyond entry-level pressure, proper airflow management becomes critical. This upgrade provides the necessary bypass functionality to maintain drivability, reduce compressor surge, and safely support boost levels up to approximately 10 psi when paired with the appropriate supporting modifications.
High Output Discharge & Bypass Upgrade
This kit updates the factory entry-level discharge setup to mirror Paxton's H.O. system design. The included aluminum discharge tube replaces the standard configuration and integrates a Paxton Standard Bypass Valve, allowing excess boost pressure to be vented during throttle lift for smoother operation and improved component longevity.
This upgrade is a required step when turning up boost on Fox Body Paxton systems originally configured at 5 psi.
