The Vortech Power Cooler Upgrade Kit (PN 8N301-058) is a polished air-to-water Charge Cooler upgrade package designed for 2001-2004 Ford Mustang Cobra and Mach 1 models equipped with the 4.6L 4-valve engine that currently run a non-cooled Vortech supercharging system. This upgrade converts an existing non-intercooled setup into a High Output, charge-cooled configuration, improving intake air temperature control, boost efficiency, and repeatable power delivery.
On an otherwise stock 4.6L 4V Cobra or Mach 1, this system is engineered to support approximately 10 psi of boost through the included supercharger pulley, delivering a noticeable increase in performance while maintaining drivability.
High Output Charge-Cooled Conversion
