3:1 FMU Recalibration Kit for Vortech Standard Fuel Management Units
The Vortech Standard 3:1 FMU Recalibration Kit (PN 6Z170-050) is engineered to change the fuel pressure rise rate of an existing Vortech Standard Fuel Management Unit (FMU) to a 3:1 ratio. This is the lowest rise-rate option offered for Standard FMUs and is intended for high-output EFI supercharger applications using very large fuel injectors where fuel pressure must be tightly controlled.
Instead of replacing the complete FMU, this recalibration kit provides a precise and cost-effective way to tailor fuel pressure behavior to aggressive injector sizing, boost levels, and custom engine combinations.
What the 3:1 Calibration Is Used For
The 3:1 FMU calibration is designed for Vortech supercharged EFI setups that require minimal fuel pressure gain due to the use of very large injectors. This prevents excessive fuel pressure while still allowing proper enrichment under boost.
According to Vortech guidelines, the 3:1 calibration is typically paired with 50 lb/hr fuel injectors, making it ideal for high-horsepower street/strip and race-oriented combinations.
