12:1 FMU Recalibration Kit for Vortech Standard Fuel Management Units
The Vortech Standard 12:1 FMU Recalibration Kit (PN 6Z170-030) is designed to change the fuel pressure rise rate of an existing Vortech Standard Fuel Management Unit (FMU) to a 12:1 ratio. This calibration is the most commonly used configuration in Vortech supercharger systems and is intended for EFI applications running original equipment fuel injectors.
By recalibrating your current FMU instead of replacing the entire unit, this kit provides a precise and cost-effective way to restore or configure fuel pressure behavior for stock-injector supercharged combinations.
What the 12:1 Calibration Is Used For
The 12:1 FMU calibration is engineered to deliver a higher rate of fuel pressure increase under boost, allowing many Vortech systems to maintain an air-to-fuel ratio of approximately 10.8:1 to 11.5:1 under boost, depending on engine efficiency, boost level, and fuel system capability.
This calibration is standard in many Vortech supercharger kits and is best suited for applications where injector size has not been increased. Lower calibration ratios are recommended when larger injectors are installed.
