4:1 Rising-Rate FMU for High-Output EFI Vortech Builds
The Vortech Standard Fuel Management Unit (FMU) (PN 6Z110-138) is a precision secondary fuel pressure regulator engineered for multi-point electronic fuel injected (EFI) engines using Vortech supercharger systems. This 4:1 rising-rate FMU installs inline with the factory fuel pressure regulator on the return line and increases fuel pressure in direct proportion to boost pressure to maintain safe air-to-fuel ratios under boost.
Proper function assumes the fuel pump in use can supply the pressure and flow required as boost rises. Like all Vortech FMUs, this unit is CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in a durable blue anodized coating for long service life and corrosion resistance.
How the 4:1 FMU Calibration Is Used
The 4:1 FMU calibration is intended for high-output custom applications where larger-than-stock fuel injectors are employed. Compared to higher-ratio FMUs, the 4:1 unit delivers a more moderate increase in fuel pressure, preventing excessive pressure while still supporting safe fueling under boost.
