8:1 Rising-Rate Fuel Management Unit for EFI Supercharged Applications
The Vortech Standard Fuel Management Unit (FMU) 8:1 (PN 6Z110-114) is a rising-rate, secondary fuel pressure regulator designed for multi-point electronic fuel injected engines operating under boost. Installed in series with the factory fuel pressure regulator on the return line to the tank, this FMU increases fuel pressure in proportion to boost pressure - assuming the fuel pump provides adequate flow and pressure.
The 8:1 calibration is intended for Vortech supercharger applications that require less fuel pressure increase than a 10:1 or 12:1 unit to maintain safe air-to-fuel ratios. It is commonly paired with 24 lb/hr injectors in GT/LX-style applications, offering a balanced approach to fueling when injector capacity has been modestly upgraded.
Like all Vortech FMUs, this unit is manufactured from CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in a durable blue anodized coating for corrosion resistance and long-term reliability.
