12:1 Rising-Rate Fuel Management Unit for EFI Supercharged Applications
The Vortech Standard Fuel Management Unit (FMU) 12:1 (PN 6Z110-111) is a rising-rate, secondary fuel pressure regulator engineered for multi-point electronic fuel injected engines operating under boost. Installed in series with the factory fuel pressure regulator on the return line, this FMU increases fuel pressure in direct proportion to boost pressure - provided the fuel pump has sufficient flow and pressure capacity.
The 12:1 calibration is the most commonly used configuration and is standard in many Vortech supercharger systems. It is well-suited for applications retaining original equipment fuel injectors, helping maintain a target air-to-fuel ratio of approximately 10.8-11.5:1 under boost. This makes it an effective solution for safely adding boost without immediately upgrading injectors, assuming the fuel pump can support the increased demand.
All Vortech FMUs are manufactured from CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in a durable blue anodized coating for corrosion resistance and long-term reliability.
