Step-by-Step Install Process (Windows PC Required)
Note: Wi-Fi and a Windows laptop are required. Ensure your laptop is charged or plugged in before starting.
- Install and open the RTD Flasher software.
- Connect the RTD/RTD+ to your Mustangs OBD-II port and your PC via USB-C.
- Turn ignition to ON (do not start engine).
- Select Read Vehicle ? Gather Information in RTD Flasher.
- Choose Read Entire for each module (engine/transmission).
- Follow prompts to cycle ignition as needed.
- Save the stock file (e.g., FirstName LastName stockfile) to your desktop.
- Email the file to 5 Star Tuning.
- Download your custom tunes when received.
- Reopen RTD Flasher, resync the interface (credits are included with purchase), and load your custom tune file.
- Select Write Calibration, follow the prompts, and cycle ignition when requested.
After completion, your Mustang will be running a 5 Star Custom Tune.
Installation Made Easy
