Using the RTD Gen 4 Flasher
The HP Tuners RTD Flasher is used via a Windows PC with Wi-Fi. The process is simple and DIY-friendly:
- Install RTD Flasher software on your Windows PC.
- Connect the RTD device to your F-150s OBD-II port and PC with the included USB-C cable.
- Turn the ignition to ON (engine off).
- Select Read Vehicle > Gather Info and save your stock file.
- Email the stock file to 5 Star Tuning.
- Receive your custom tunes by email, download them, and load them into RTD Flasher.
- Resync interface, license controllers, and write the tune to your vehicle following on-screen prompts.
- Cycle ignition when promptedyour 5 Star Custom Tune is now active.
Do I Need a Shop to Install?
No shop is required. Installation is straightforward and tool-free, typically completed in minutes.
