The Vortech Supercharger System with V-7 YSi-Trim (PN 4GX218-144YSi) is a universal LS-swap carbureted supercharging system engineered around the 1997-2013 C5/C6 Corvette front engine accessory drive (FEAD). Finished in a durable black coating, this system is designed for high-horsepower carbureted LS builds where maximum airflow, belt control, and race-proven durability are critical.
Built for carbureted Chevrolet LS engines using LS1/LS2-style intake manifolds, this configuration supplies the core supercharger, drive, and discharge components required for custom blow-through carbureted applications. Final boost and power output are determined by pulley selection, fuel system capacity, carburetor setup, and engine calibration provided by the installer.
V-7 YSi-Trim Supercharger Technology
The V-7 YSi-Trim centrifugal supercharger is Vortech's large-frame, high-flow solution intended for applications that exceed the capabilities of smaller V-series units. Known for exceptional top-end airflow, the YSi platform is ideal for aggressive street/strip and competition environments where sustained high RPM and elevated boost levels are required.
This system utilizes clockwise (CW) rotation, a curved discharge, and passenger-side mounting, optimized specifically for LS-swap vehicles configured with the Corvette FEAD layout.
LS-Swap / Corvette FEAD Configuration
This supercharger system is designed for vehicles using a C5/C6 Corvette accessory drive equivalent to GM 19257325 or GM 19202977. Proper belt alignment requires the correct harmonic balancer and water pump. A rigid billet aluminum mounting bracket combined with a reinforced steel plate ensures stability under high belt load and sustained boost.
