The Vortech Supercharger System with V-7 YSi-Trim (PN 4GX218-140YSi) is a universal LS-swap carbureted supercharging system engineered around the 1997-2013 C5/C6 Corvette front engine accessory drive (FEAD). Finished in a durable satin coating, this configuration is designed for high-horsepower carbureted LS builds where maximum airflow and race-proven durability are required.
Built for carbureted Chevrolet LS engines using LS1/LS2-style intake manifolds, this system supplies the core supercharger, drive, and discharge components needed for custom blow-through carbureted applications. Final power output depends on pulley selection, carburetor setup, fuel system capacity, and tuning provided by the installer.
V-7 YSi-Trim Supercharger Technology
The V-7 YSi-Trim centrifugal supercharger represents Vortech's large-frame solution for applications demanding significantly more airflow than smaller V-series units. Designed for aggressive street/strip and competition use, the YSi platform excels in high-RPM, high-boost environments where top-end power is the priority.
This system uses clockwise (CW) rotation with a curved discharge and passenger-side mounting, optimized specifically for LS-swap installations based on the Corvette FEAD layout.
LS-Swap / Corvette FEAD Configuration
This supercharger system is designed for vehicles using a C5/C6 Corvette accessory drive equivalent to GM 19257325 or GM 19202977. Proper belt alignment requires the correct water pump and harmonic balancer. A billet aluminum mounting bracket combined with a steel reinforcement plate provides excellent rigidity under sustained boost and high engine speeds.
