The Vortech Supercharger System with V-7 YSi-Trim (PN 4GX218-134YSi) is a universal LS-swap EFI supercharging system engineered around the 1997-2013 C5/C6 Corvette front engine accessory drive (FEAD). Finished in a durable black coating, this configuration is aimed at builders targeting very high horsepower LS applications where maximum airflow and robust mounting stability are critical.
Designed for fuel-injected Chevrolet LS engines using LS1/LS2-style intake manifolds, this system supplies the core supercharger, drive, and discharge components needed for custom EFI builds. Final power output depends on pulley selection, engine configuration, fuel system capacity, and calibration supplied by the installer.
V-7 YSi-Trim Supercharger Technology
The V-7 YSi-Trim centrifugal supercharger is Vortech's large-frame, race-proven option for applications requiring substantially more airflow than smaller V-series units. Its compressor design is well suited for aggressive street/strip and competition LS builds where top-end power potential is the priority.
This configuration uses clockwise (CW) rotation with a curved discharge and passenger-side mounting, optimized specifically for LS-swap installations based on the Corvette FEAD layout.
LS-Swap / Corvette FEAD Configuration
This system is designed for vehicles using a C5/C6 Corvette accessory drive equivalent to GM 19257325 or GM 19202977. Proper belt alignment requires a compatible water pump and harmonic balancer. The billet aluminum bracket combined with a steel reinforcement plate provides rigid, stable supercharger mounting under sustained boost.
