The Vortech Superchargers Tuner Kit (PN 4GP218-048YSi) is the highest-capacity centrifugal supercharger package offered by Vortech for carbureted Small Block Chevrolet engines. Built around the legendary V-7 YSi supercharger and finished in a show-quality polished housing, this system is designed for extreme horsepower builds where airflow, durability, and belt control are critical.
This is a true tuner kit, meaning it is intended for experienced builders running aftermarket EFI, custom carburetor hats, bonnets, or alternate induction solutions. The kit does not include a carburetor enclosure box, allowing complete flexibility for custom fuel and intake configurations.
V-7 YSi Supercharger Technology
The V-7 YSi is Vortech's flagship centrifugal supercharger, utilizing a heavy-duty gear set and an ultra-high-flow compressor stage developed in Vortech's SAE J1723-compliant test cell. With up to 78% peak adiabatic efficiency, the YSi delivers massive airflow with reduced heat generation, improved durability, and unmatched top-end power potential.
With proper engine internals, fuel system, and professional calibration, the V-7 YSi is capable of supporting applications up to approximately 1,200 horsepower.
10-Rib Drive System for High-Horsepower Stability
This tuner kit features a dedicated 10-rib belt drive system designed to maintain belt traction and reliability under extreme boost levels and high RPM operation.
- 10-rib 6061-T6 billet aluminum crank pulley (6" diameter), hard-anodized
- Integrated manual belt tensioner with dual-bearing tensioner pulley
