Satin V-7 YSi 10-Rib Tuner Supercharger Kit for Carbureted Small Block Chevy
The Vortech Superchargers Tuner Kit (PN 4GP218-040YSi) is the highest-output universal tuner configuration available for carbureted Small Block Chevrolet engines. Built around the legendary V-7 YSi centrifugal supercharger and a robust 10-rib drive system, this satin-finished kit is designed for extreme horsepower builds where airflow capacity, mechanical strength, and upgrade flexibility are critical.
As a tuner kit, this system is intended for experienced builders running aftermarket EFI or alternate carburetor hats, bonnets, or enclosure boxes. It intentionally does not include the Vortech Maxflow Carburetor Enclosure Box, allowing complete control over fueling and induction strategy.
V-7 YSi Supercharger Technology
The V-7 YSi is Vortech's flagship centrifugal supercharger for extreme-performance applications. Featuring a heavy-duty gear-driven design and Vortech's advanced compressor aerodynamics, the YSi delivers exceptional airflow with a peak 78% adiabatic efficiency (SAE J1723). Higher efficiency reduces heat generation, lowers parasitic load, and increases net horsepower - especially critical at elevated boost levels.
With the proper supporting engine, fuel system, and drivetrain upgrades, the V-7 YSi is capable of supporting applications up to approximately 1,200 horsepower.
