Satin V-1 H/D Ti Tuner Supercharger Kit for Carbureted Small Block Chevy
The Vortech Superchargers Tuner Kit (PN 4GP218-040T) is a revised, universal forced-induction solution for carbureted Small Block Chevrolet engines requiring higher durability and horsepower capacity than Si-Trim configurations. This kit features the V-1 H/D Ti centrifugal supercharger in a durable satin finish and is intended for experienced builders running aftermarket EFI systems or alternate carburetor hats, bonnets, or enclosure boxes.
As a tuner kit, this system does not include a carburetor enclosure box, allowing maximum flexibility in fuel and induction selection. Vortech's extensive in-house testing has refined the Ti-Trim platform to deliver excellent airflow, durability, and efficiency for aggressive street/strip and competition-focused carbureted SBC builds.
V-1 H/D Ti Supercharger Technology
The V-1 H/D Ti utilizes a heavy-duty straight-cut gear set designed to withstand higher loads associated with elevated boost and horsepower levels. Like other Vortech "i" compressors, it achieves up to 78% peak adiabatic efficiency (SAE J1723), reducing discharge temperatures, parasitic loss, and overall thermal stress while increasing net horsepower.
Performance Potential
- Horsepower Gains: Approximately 30% to more than 75% (application dependent)
- Typical Boost: ~8-10 PSI at 5,500 RPM on a mildly modified 350ci engine (pulley dependent)
- Maximum Power Capability: Up to ~950 HP with proper supporting engine and fuel system modifications
Tuner Kit Configuration
This tuner kit is designed for custom installations and does not include the Vortech Maxflow Carburetor Enclosure Box. It is ideal for:
- Aftermarket EFI conversions
- Alternate carburetor hats or bonnets
- Optional Vortech Maxflow Carburetor Enclosure Box (sold separately)
