The Vortech Superchargers Complete Supercharging System (PN 4GP218-038YSi) is the highest-capacity universal carbureted Small Block Chevrolet system Vortech offers. Featuring the legendary V-7 YSi centrifugal supercharger in a show-quality polished finish, this system is engineered for serious horsepower builds where strength, airflow, and long-term durability are non-negotiable.
Developed through extensive in-house testing, Vortech's YSi-based systems deliver industry-leading efficiency with a peak 78% adiabatic efficiency (SAE J1723). Higher efficiency means cooler discharge temperatures, reduced parasitic loss, and more usable horsepower - while maintaining stability under extreme boost conditions.
V-7 YSi Supercharger Technology
The V-7 YSi utilizes a heavy-duty gear-driven design built specifically for extreme horsepower applications. Capable of supporting up to 1,200 horsepower with the proper supporting engine, fuel, and drivetrain modifications, the YSi is the go-to choice for aggressive street/strip and competition-focused carbureted SBC builds.

Carbureted System Design
This system is built around Vortech's sealed cast aluminum carburetor enclosure, designed to properly pressurize float bowls and throttle shafts for consistent fuel control under boost. The enclosure is compatible with:
- Holley 4150
- Quick Fuel Q-750-BAN
- Demon 750 MD
The enclosure features front and rear -8 AN fuel inlet ports, multiple pressure and vacuum reference ports, and includes linkage arms, a splined shaft, left- and right-hand spherical rod ends, and carburetor studs for clean and adjustable throttle integration.
