The Vortech V-7 YSi GM LS-Swap Gen 5 Camaro Based Tuner Kit (PN 4GE218-148) is a purpose-built, driver-side-mounted supercharger system engineered for high-horsepower LS swap applications using the Gen 5 Camaro SS front engine accessory drive (FEAD). Designed for race and custom street builds, this polished tuner kit delivers Vortech's flagship V-7 YSi-Trim centrifugal supercharger paired with a 50mm cog drive for maximum belt grip and stability under extreme load.
This is a universal LS-swap platform intended for experienced builders who require flexibility in inlet, discharge, bypass, and charge cooling configuration. Due to the universal nature of the system, several airflow and fuel components are installer-supplied, allowing the kit to be tailored to the specific chassis, power target, and packaging constraints.
V-7 YSi-Trim Supercharger Technology
The V-7 YSi-Trim is Vortech's highest-capacity centrifugal supercharger, developed for extreme airflow demand and sustained high-RPM operation. Featuring an advanced compressor design and race-proven construction, the YSi is commonly used in competitive drag, roll racing, and high-output street builds where durability and top-end flow are critical.
This configuration uses clockwise (CW) rotation with a straight discharge, optimized for driver-side LS-swap installations based on the Gen 5 Camaro FEAD layout.
LS-Swap / Gen 5 Camaro FEAD Configuration
This system is based on the 2010 Camaro SS damper and accessory FEAD configuration. When paired with non-Camaro accessory drives, custom spacing may be required. The dedicated, stand-alone supercharger drive assembly ensures consistent belt alignment and reliable power delivery at high RPM.
