The Vortech Superchargers V-2 Si-Trim Tuner Kit with Water-to-Air Charge Cooler (PN 4FU218-140SQ) is engineered for 2007-2009 Ford Mustang GT models equipped with the 4.6L 3-Valve V8. Finished in a durable satin coating, this tuner kit combines Vortech's oil-fed V-2 Si-Trim centrifugal supercharger with an integrated water-to-air, dual-pass Charge Cooler to help control inlet air temperatures during higher boost operation.

This is a true tuner kit, supplied without fuel system upgrades or ECM calibration. It is intended for experienced tuners and racers who require complete control over fueling, ignition timing, and boost strategy. This configuration is designed strictly for off-road and competition use.

V-2 Si-Trim Supercharger Technology

The V-2 Si-Trim is an oil-fed centrifugal supercharger designed for applications that see extended boost and sustained high-load operation. By sharing the engine's lubrication system, the V-2 Si-Trim provides excellent oil control and cooling under continuous use, making it well suited for aggressive street/strip and track-focused builds.

Vortech's advanced impeller and housing design delivers efficient airflow with reduced parasitic loss, allowing the engine to produce more usable power with less heat compared to lower-efficiency designs.

Tuner Kit Configuration Explained

Vortech tuner kits include the complete supercharger system hardware found in complete systems, but intentionally omit fuel injectors, fuel pumps, and ECU programming. This allows professional tuners and racers to select their preferred fuel system components and create custom calibrations tailored to their specific engine combination.

For reference, High Output complete systems for earlier 4.6L 3V Mustang GT applications are capable of boosting stock engines to approximately 462 horsepower when fully equipped and properly calibrated.
