The Vortech Superchargers V-2 Si-Trim Tuner Kit (PN 4FU218-138SQ) is engineered for 2007-2009 Ford Mustang GT models equipped with the 4.6L 3-Valve V8. Finished in a show-quality polished finish, this tuner kit delivers Vortech's proven centrifugal supercharger performance while giving professional tuners complete control over fueling, calibration, and boost strategy.
This configuration is supplied without a Charge Cooler and without fuel system upgrades or ECM programming, making it ideal for custom builds where supporting components and tuning are handled in-house. This system is intended strictly for off-road and competition use.
V-2 Si-Trim Supercharger Technology
The V-2 Si-Trim is an oil-fed centrifugal supercharger designed for applications that see extended boost and sustained high-load operation. By sharing the engine's lubrication system, the V-2 Si-Trim provides excellent oil control and cooling, making it well suited for aggressive street/strip builds and track-focused setups.
Vortech's advanced impeller and housing design delivers efficient airflow with reduced parasitic loss, allowing the engine to produce more usable power with less heat compared to lower-efficiency designs.
Tuner Kit Configuration Explained
Vortech tuner kits include the complete supercharger and mounting hardware found in complete systems, but intentionally exclude fuel injectors, fuel pumps, and ECU calibration. This allows experienced tuners and racers to tailor fuel delivery and tuning to match specific engine combinations and performance goals.
For reference, High Output complete systems for earlier 4.6L 3V Mustang GT applications are capable of boosting stock engines to approximately 462 horsepower when fully equipped and properly calibrated.
