The Vortech Superchargers V-3 Si-Trim Tuner Kit (PN 4FU218-138L) is designed specifically for 2007-2009 Ford Mustang GT models equipped with the 4.6L 3-Valve V8. Featuring a high-visibility polished finish, this tuner kit delivers Vortech's advanced centrifugal supercharger technology while giving professional tuners complete control over fueling, calibration, and overall engine strategy.
This configuration is supplied without a Charge Cooler and without fuel system upgrades or ECM programming, making it ideal for custom builds where supporting components and tuning are handled in-house. This system is intended strictly for off-road and competition use.
V-3 Si-Trim Supercharger Technology
The V-3 Si-Trim represents Vortech's most refined self-contained centrifugal supercharger design. The "Si" (improved) designation reflects Vortech's patented oil control system combined with a state-of-the-art compressor stage engineered for efficiency and durability.
With industry-leading 78% adiabatic efficiency (SAE J1723), the V-3 Si-Trim generates less heat, reduces parasitic drive loss, and produces more usable horsepower compared to lower-efficiency designs. The self-contained lubrication system eliminates the need for engine oil feed and drain lines, simplifying installation and maintenance.
Tuner Kit Configuration Explained
Vortech tuner kits include the complete supercharger and mounting hardware found in complete systems, but intentionally omit fuel injectors, fuel pumps, and ECU calibration. This allows experienced tuners and racers to select fuel system components and custom engine management strategies tailored to their specific engine combination.
For reference, High Output complete systems for earlier 4.6L 3V Mustang GT applications are capable of boosting stock engines to approximately 462 horsepower when fully equipped and properly calibrated.
