The Vortech Superchargers V-2 Ti-Trim Tuner Kit with Water-to-Air Charge Cooler (PN 4FU218-128TSQ) is engineered for 2005-2006 Ford Mustang GT models equipped with the 4.6L 3-Valve V8. Featuring a show-quality polished finish, this tuner kit combines Vortech's heavy-duty V-2 Ti-Trim centrifugal supercharger with an integrated water-to-air, dual-pass Charge Cooler to improve thermal stability during aggressive and sustained boost operation.
This is a true tuner kit, supplied without fuel system upgrades or ECM calibration. It is intended for professional tuners and racers who require full control over fueling, ignition timing, and boost strategy. This configuration is intended strictly for off-road and competition use.
V-2 Ti-Trim Supercharger Technology
The V-2 Ti-Trim is Vortech's heavy-duty centrifugal supercharger option, designed for high-stress, high-boost environments. Compared to Si-Trim models, the Ti-Trim features upgraded internal components for increased strength and long-term durability, making it well suited for racing, extended high-load operation, and aggressive performance builds.
As an oil-fed supercharger, the V-2 Ti-Trim shares the engine's lubrication system, providing excellent oil control and cooling during sustained boost conditions. This architecture also allows for optional oil cooling or filtration upgrades when required.
Tuner Kit Configuration Explained
Vortech tuner kits include the complete supercharger, Charge Cooler system, and mounting hardware found in complete systems, but exclude fuel injectors, fuel pumps, and ECU reprogramming. This allows custom tuners to select fuel system components and engine management strategies that best match their specific engine combination.
For reference, High Output complete systems for 2005-2008 Mustang GT applications are capable of boosting stock engines to approximately 462 horsepower when fully equipped and calibrated.
