Finished in a durable satin configuration, this tuner kit combines Vortech's advanced centrifugal supercharger technology with an integrated air-to-water, dual-pass Charge Cooler for improved inlet air temperature control under higher boost conditions.
This is a true tuner kit, supplied without fuel system upgrades or ECM calibration, allowing experienced builders and professional tuners to configure fuel delivery, engine management, and boost strategy to suit custom performance goals. V-3 Si-Trim Supercharger Technology
The V-3 Si-Trim represents Vortech's latest generation centrifugal supercharger design. The "Si" designation stands for improved, incorporating a state-of-the-art centrifugal compressor stage developed in Vortech's supercharger test cell for optimal airflow and efficiency.
With an industry-leading 78% adiabatic efficiency (SAE J1723), the V-3 Si-Trim generates less heat, reduces parasitic drive loss, and delivers more net power compared to lower-efficiency designs. The V-3 platform features a self-contained lubrication system, eliminating the need for external oil feed or drain lines and simplifying installation.
Tuner Kit Configuration Explained
Vortech tuner kits include the complete supercharger, charge cooler hardware, and mounting components found in complete systems, but exclude fuel injectors, fuel pumps, and ECU reprogramming. This gives racers and custom tuners the flexibility to select fuel system components and calibration strategies appropriate for their specific engine build.
For reference, High Output complete systems for 2005-2008 Mustang GT applications are capable of boosting stock engines to approximately 462 horsepower when fully equipped and calibrated.
