The Vortech V-3 Si-Trim Tuner Supercharger Kit with Charge Cooler (PN 4FH218-150L) is designed for 1996-1998 Ford Mustang GT 4.6L 2V owners building a custom, higher-output setup. As a tuner kit, this package provides Vortech's proven centrifugal supercharger hardware without ECM calibration, allowing experienced builders and tuners to implement custom fuel and engine management strategies.
This system features Vortech's V-3 Si internally lubricated supercharger paired with a fully integrated air-to-water, dual-pass Charge Cooler. In high-output configuration, this charge-cooled setup increases horsepower from 215 to 323 HP and torque from 265 lb-ft to 365 lb-ft, depending on supporting modifications and tuning.

V-3 Si-Trim Supercharger Technology
The V-3 Si-Trim centrifugal supercharger uses Vortech's advanced gear-driven SQ technology for quiet operation and excellent durability. Its high-efficiency impeller and compressor housing, developed in Vortech's supercharger test cell, deliver strong airflow and efficiency across a wide RPM range.
The V-3 is internally lubricated, eliminating the need for engine oil feed or drain lines and simplifying installation and maintenance compared to oil-fed designs.
Charge-Cooled High Output Configuration
This tuner kit includes a fully integrated air-to-water, dual-pass Charge Cooler designed to reduce inlet air temperatures and increase air density under boost. The result is improved power potential and consistency, especially in aggressive street/strip or track-focused builds.
Note: Charge-cooled systems require a battery relocation kit (PN 8N150-010), sold separately.

Tuner Kit Flexibility & Upgrade Path
