V-3 Si Supercharger Technology
The system is built around Vortech's V-3 Si centrifugal supercharger, developed through extensive in-house testing. The Si model achieves a peak adiabatic efficiency of 78% (SAE J1723 standard). Higher efficiency reduces intake air temperatures, lowers parasitic drive losses, and improves long-term durability under boost.
All V-3 series superchargers utilize a self-contained internal lubrication system, eliminating the need for external oil feed and drain lines and simplifying installation.
Air-to-Water Charge Cooler System
For Fox Body Mustangs, Vortech employs an air-to-water charge cooling system to reduce charge air temperatures while minimizing pressure loss. Unlike air-to-air systems that require extended duct routing, this configuration keeps airflow distance similar to non-cooled setups, helping maintain boost pressure while improving detonation resistance.
