This system features a passenger-side mount, satin-finish V-7 YSi supercharger, and a dedicated 10-rib drive system designed to support extremely high boost and horsepower levels.
This is a Super High Output system intended for serious performance builds and racing applications. It is not CARB legal and is not legal for sale or use in California on public roads.
V-7 YSi Supercharger Technology
The heart of this system is Vortech's V-7 YSi centrifugal supercharger, developed for extreme airflow and sustained high-RPM operation. Continued development in Vortech's SAE J1723-compliant supercharger test cell resulted in the YSi model achieving a peak 78% adiabatic efficiency.
The "i" designation signifies improved efficiency and output capability. Higher efficiency reduces heat generation, lowers parasitic drive losses, and delivers greater net power with improved durability under extreme operating conditions.
Super High Output System Design
This Fox Body Mustang Super High Output system is engineered for applications targeting 2,000+ horsepower potential depending on engine configuration, fuel system, and tuning. Passenger-side and driver-side mount systems are available, though driver-side systems are not compatible with vehicles retaining air conditioning or power steering.
The system utilizes a dedicated 10-rib supercharger drive system to provide superior belt traction at elevated boost levels, making it suitable for aggressive street/strip and competition use.
