The Vortech Supercharger V-3 Si-Trim Tuner Kit with Charge Cooler (PN 4CL218-174L) is engineered for 2011-2012 Chrysler and Dodge 6.4L SRT8 vehicles equipped with manual transmissions. Designed for higher-horsepower, custom-tuned HEMI builds, this system pairs Vortech's advanced V-3 Si-Trim centrifugal supercharger with an air-to-water, dual-pass Charge Cooler while retaining all factory accessories.
On a stock engine, the system produces approximately 7.0 PSI of boost at redline. The included V-3 Si-Trim supercharger is capable of supporting up to ~775 horsepower on modified vehicles, making this tuner kit an ideal foundation for enthusiasts planning upgraded fueling, calibration, and supporting modifications.
V-3 Si-Trim Supercharger Technology
The V-3 Si-Trim is the result of continued development in Vortech's SAE J1723-compliant supercharger lab. Featuring a patented oil control system and a state-of-the-art centrifugal compressor stage, the V-3 Si delivers industry-leading adiabatic efficiency approaching 78%. Higher efficiency translates to reduced heat generation, lower drive power requirements, and improved durability under sustained boost.
The self-contained lubrication system eliminates the need for engine oil feed and drain lines, simplifying installation and long-term maintenance. Vortech systems also weigh significantly less than many competing forced-induction solutions.
Air-to-Water Charge-Cooled Performance
This system utilizes an air-to-water, dual-pass Charge Cooler to control intake air temperatures and improve reliability under boost. The closed-loop cooling system includes a compact circulation pump, charge air cooler water tank, and a large-capacity dual-pass heat exchanger to maintain consistent charge air temperatures.
The welded charge air cooler core is capable of supporting over 700 horsepower and is paired with aluminum discharge ducting, silicone couplers, and stainless steel clamps for high-flow performance and durability.
Tuner Kit Configuration
Tuner kits are intended for custom-calibrated installations and do not include fuel injectors, fuel pump voltage booster, MAP sensor, or ECU programming. This allows the installer to select fuel system components and tuning strategies that best match the vehicle's intended use.
For extreme power levels or racing applications, Vortech offers additional supercharger and drive options. Vortech technical support can assist with selecting compatible upgrades.
