The Vortech V-7 Heavy Duty JT-B Supercharger Head Unit (PN 2A159-098) is engineered for high-output, heavily modified engines that demand extreme airflow and sustained boost capability. As the next step in compressor development, the V-7 platform features a 5-axis CNC-machined billet impeller and a high-diffusion housing, developed and validated in Vortech's SAE J1723-compliant supercharger test cell to deliver outstanding efficiency and top-end power potential.
This configuration utilizes counter-clockwise (CCW) rotation, a straight discharge, and a polished finish, making it ideal for race-focused and custom applications requiring CCW drive compatibility with a show-quality appearance.
Advanced V-7 Series Supercharger Technology
The V-7 Series combines Vortech's latest aerodynamic advancements with proven race durability and is designed to fit most existing Vortech mounting bracketry. Intended for vehicles with highly modified engines and extreme CFM and boost demands, all V-7 units incorporate Vortech's exclusive D-port volute to improve discharge efficiency and maintain stable airflow at elevated pressure ratios.
Due to its airflow capacity, the V-7 requires the use of a Vortech Racing Bypass Valve or larger to properly manage compressor discharge flow.
Heavy Duty (H/D) Race Configuration
This Heavy Duty (H/D) JT-B configuration is equipped with high-speed ceramic hybrid ball bearings, making it ideal for race applications and sustained high-RPM operation. The H/D design is also compatible with cog pulley / Gilmer-style drive systems, ensuring reliable power transfer in extreme boost environments.
