The Vortech V-7 YSi-B Trim Heavy Duty Supercharger Head Unit (PN 2A158-084) represents the next step in centrifugal compressor development, engineered for extreme horsepower applications where airflow, efficiency, and durability are critical. This configuration features clockwise (CW) rotation with mounting ears and a curved discharge outlet, designed to integrate with most existing Vortech bracketry while supporting aggressive race-oriented builds.
At the core of the YSi-B Trim is a technologically advanced, high-efficiency 5-axis machined billet impeller paired with a high-diffusion housing, both developed and validated in Vortech's SAE J1723-compliant supercharger test cell. The result is exceptional airflow capability with industry-leading efficiency at extreme boost levels.
V-7 YSi-B Trim Heavy Duty Technology
The V-7 Series blends race-proven performance with advanced compressor aerodynamics. All V-7 units feature Vortech's exclusive D-port volute to improve efficiency under high airflow demands. The Heavy Duty (H/D) configuration incorporates high-speed ceramic hybrid ball bearings, making this head unit ideal for sustained high-RPM and competition use.
This supercharger is compatible with cog pulley / Gilmer-style drive systems and requires a Vortech Racing Bypass Valve or larger to properly manage high discharge flow rates.
