The Vortech V-7 YSi-Trim Heavy Duty Supercharger Head Unit (PN 2A158-068) delivers true "large blower" performance in a compact package engineered to fit most existing Vortech mounting bracketry. Designed for highly modified engines with extreme airflow and boost demands, the V-7 Series combines advanced centrifugal supercharger technology with race-proven durability.
This Heavy Duty configuration is intended for aggressive street, strip, and race applications where airflow demand is critical. The polished finish provides a high-visibility, show-quality appearance while retaining the rugged internal architecture required for sustained high-RPM operation.
V-7 YSi-Trim Supercharger Technology
The V-7 YSi-Trim incorporates Vortech's exclusive D-port volute design, improving airflow efficiency at elevated boost levels while supporting extreme discharge flow requirements. Due to these high flow demands, the system requires the use of a Vortech Racing Bypass Valve or larger for proper operation.
The Heavy Duty (H/D) configuration features high-speed ceramic hybrid ball bearings, making it ideal for race environments and compatible with cog pulley / Gilmer-style drive systems.
