The Paxton Superchargers NOVI 2200SL Head Unit (PN 1016156-P) is a high-output centrifugal supercharger designed for modern modular Ford Mustang engines and other demanding street/strip applications. This configuration features reverse rotation, a 45-degree tilted mounting orientation, and a straight discharge, making it ideal for custom installations that require specific airflow routing and compatibility with existing Paxton or Vortech bracket systems.

Finished in a high-visibility polished coating, this head unit combines race-proven durability with excellent efficiency, supporting aggressive power levels while maintaining controlled discharge temperatures.

NOVI 2200SL Supercharger Technology

The NOVI 2200SL incorporates Paxton's advanced centrifugal compressor design and features the company's exclusive D-port volute for improved airflow efficiency. This design reduces turbulence at higher flow rates, allowing the compressor to move more air with less heat and parasitic loss.

With a peak efficiency of approximately 76%, the NOVI 2200SL delivers cooler discharge air compared to lower-efficiency designs, improving reliability and consistency during sustained boost operation.

Reverse Rotation & 45° Tilt Configuration

This head unit's reverse rotation and 45° tilt orientation allow it to integrate with specific Paxton and Vortech mounting layouts as well as custom engine bay configurations. The straight discharge outlet supports high-flow charge piping designs commonly used in performance street and strip builds.

The NOVI 2200 platform is engineered to fit most existing Paxton and Vortech mounting bracketry, making it a flexible option for system upgrades or clean-sheet custom supercharger builds.

High-Output Capability

While some superchargers can achieve similar boost levels, the NOVI 2200SL does so with lower discharge temperatures and reduced parasitic power loss. The result is improved real-world power delivery, repeatable performance, and long-term durability.

For high-airflow applications, the use of a Vortech Racing Bypass Valve or larger may be required to properly manage discharge flow.
