The Paxton NOVI 1500 Supercharger System delivers authentic centrifugal boost for classic carbureted Mustangs, drawing inspiration from the legendary Paxton-supercharged Shelby GT-350s of the 1960s. Designed to fit under the stock hood, this system combines period-correct appearance with modern supercharger efficiency.

NOVI 1500 Centrifugal Supercharger Performance

The NOVI 1500 is a compact, gear-driven centrifugal supercharger engineered for durability, efficiency, and consistent airflow across the RPM range. This system uses a 3.7-inch 8-rib supercharger pulley, producing approximately 7.5 PSI at 5,500 RPM on a stock 351 Windsor V8.

Driver Side Mount Configuration

This system features the traditional driver-side supercharger mounting configuration, favored for its classic under-hood layout. Driver-side mounting requires an alternator in place of a generator where applicable and does not support factory power steering.

Carburetor Enclosure & Fuel Management

The included cast aluminum carburetor enclosure pressurizes the float bowls and throttle shafts to maintain proper air/fuel ratios under boost. Supported carburetors include:

  • Holley 4150 series
  • Quick Fuel Q-750 BAN
  • Demon 650 MD 4-BBL

Carburetors must use mechanical secondaries, .120 needle and seat assemblies, and nitrophyll floats. The enclosure features front and rear -8 AN fuel inlet ports and multiple pressure/vacuum ports. Linkage arms, splined shaft, left and right hand spherical rod ends, and carburetor studs are included. For Holley carburetors, the 8M011-001 air diffuser is recommended.
