The Paxton NOVI 1500 Supercharger System in a polished finish delivers serious centrifugal supercharging performance for classic carbureted Ford Mustangs while maintaining a show-quality underhood appearance. Inspired by the legendary Paxton-equipped Shelby GT-350s of the 1960s, this system is engineered to fit under the stock hood and support aggressive street and performance builds.

Depending on engine configuration and supporting modifications, the NOVI 1500 is capable of delivering 30% to well over 75% horsepower gains, making it an excellent choice for high-output vintage V8 combinations.

NOVI 1500 Centrifugal Supercharger Performance

At the heart of the system is the gear-driven Paxton NOVI 1500 supercharger, offering significantly more airflow capacity than entry-level units while maintaining smooth, linear boost delivery. Equipped with a 3.7-inch 8-rib pulley, the system produces approximately 7.5 PSI at 5,500 RPM on a stock V8 engine, with ample headroom for modified combinations.

Driver Side Mount Configuration

This system features a traditional driver-side supercharger mount for a classic engine bay layout. This configuration requires an alternator in place of a generator where applicable and is best suited for performance-focused builds that do not require factory power steering.

Carburetor Enclosure & Fuel System Design

The included cast aluminum carburetor enclosure is engineered to properly pressurize float bowls and throttle shafts for consistent air/fuel ratios under boost. Compatible carburetors include:

  • Holley 4150 series
  • Quick Fuel Q-750 BAN
  • Demon 650 MD 4-barrel

Carburetors must feature mechanical secondaries, .120 needle and seat assemblies, and nitrophyll floats. The enclosure includes dual -8 AN fuel inlet ports and multiple pressure/vacuum ports. When using Holley carburetors, the 8M011-001 air diffuser is recommended.
