The Paxton NOVI 1200 Supercharger System - Driver Side Mount in polished finish delivers period-correct centrifugal supercharging inspired by the legendary Paxton-equipped Shelby GT-350s of the 1960s. Designed specifically for carbureted Ford V8 Mustangs, this system fits cleanly under the factory hood while delivering substantial, reliable power gains.

Depending on engine configuration and supporting modifications, this system can provide 30% to over 75% horsepower increases. The NOVI 1200 also offers a clear upgrade path to higher-output Paxton superchargers such as the NOVI 1500 for future performance goals.

NOVI 1200 Centrifugal Supercharger Performance

The gear-driven NOVI 1200 centrifugal supercharger produces smooth, linear boost that enhances top-end horsepower without sacrificing street drivability. A 3.7-inch 8-rib pulley delivers approximately 7.5 PSI at 5,500 RPM on a stock V8 engine.

Driver Side Mount Configuration

This system utilizes a traditional driver-side mounting layout, closely resembling vintage Paxton race installations. This configuration requires the use of an alternator in place of a generator and does not support factory power steering or air conditioning.

Carburetor Enclosure & Fuel System Support

A precision cast aluminum carburetor enclosure is included to properly pressurize the float bowls and throttle shafts, maintaining correct air/fuel ratios under boost. Supported carburetors include:

  • Holley 4150 series
  • Quick Fuel Q-750 BAN
  • Demon 650 MD 4-barrel

Carburetors must use mechanical secondaries, .120 needle and seat assemblies, and nitrophyll floats. The enclosure includes front and rear -8 AN fuel inlet ports and multiple vacuum/pressure ports. When using a Holley carburetor, the 8M011-001 air diffuser is recommended.
